The hotel was undergoing some cosmetic repairs, which wasn’t detailed online, but the friendly front desk staff handled our concerns graciously and even issued us a refund for our troubles. We were rerouted to a lovely SureStay by Best Western just down the road—talk about a silver lining! It ended up being a cozy gem with amazing amenities, including a pool and a generous breakfast spread. While the Days Inn wasn't quite up to par, the spirit of their customer service and our spontaneous detour made the trip memorable.
